Terms of Service

Welcome to betterthanabot.ca and betterthanabot.com (“I,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our website, requesting materials, or engaging our personal assistant services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Our services are intended for users 18 years of age or older.

1. Services

We provide personal assistant services, which may include:

  • Scheduling and calendar management

  • Errands and personal tasks

  • Administrative support

  • Organization and planning assistance

All services are delivered at our discretion and subject to availability

2. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Your satisfaction and the effectiveness of our services depend on your participation and cooperation. While we strive to provide professional, reliable, and efficient support, we do not guarantee specific outcomes.

3. Payments

  • Better Than A Bot Inc. will invoice the Client on the 15th day of each month and payment is due within 24 hours of receipt.

  • If payment is not received within this timeframe, a one-time late fee of $250 CAD will be applied for each occurrence of late payment.

  • Payments can only be made via e-transfer or bank transfer to shayla@betterthanabot.ca email address using the provided password.

  • Unpaid balances may be sent to a collections agency.

  • Clients are responsible for any bank fees or charges related to payments.

4. Meeting Cancellation Policy

  • All meetings with the Contractor, whether in-person or virtual require written notice via email, text, or WhatsApp.

  • Meetings must be rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. If not, meetings may lose the ability to be rescheduled for the remainder of the month.

  • Meetings must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations with less notice will be forfeited for the remainder of the calendar month and cannot be rescheduled.

  • Exceptions may be made in case of emergencies, at the Contractor's discretion.

5. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • All personal information shared with Better Than A Bot Inc. will be treated confidentially and used solely to provide our services.

  • We do not sell or share your personal information, except as required by law.

  • Sensitive data transmitted online is encrypted and stored securely.

6. Liability

Our services are provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Better Than A Bot Inc., Shayla Moulton, and betterthanabot.ca shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, losses, or claims of any kind arising from the use of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, missed tasks, errors, or other service-related issues.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Better Than A Bot Inc., Shayla Moulton, betterthanabot.ca, and their affiliates from claims, damages, or costs arising from your actions or violation of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content, documents, and materials provided by us are proprietary.

  • You may use purchased materials or resources for personal use only.

  • You may not resell, share, or create competing services using our content.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy policies of these sites. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

10. Testimonials and Google Reviews

Our website may feature testimonials, reviews, and feedback from past clients or other individuals who have interacted with our services. While these comments are accurate and honest portrayals of individual experiences, they are not a guarantee that all clients or users will have the same, similar, or better experience.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, with disputes resolved in courts nearest to Calgary, Alberta.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
